The Vision

The Darker recreates the sound of a 1980s hi-fi speaker, delivering a bold, physical, and retro sonic experience. Combining Rhapsodio’s flagship technologies, it brings ultimate technical performance while giving every track a nostalgic 80s-inspired character.





The Design

Featuring a resin shell with a large touch area to maximize bone conduction, the Darker balances performance and aesthetics. Its smoke-colored shell and dark green faceplate match the dark sonic signature, with custom finishes available through direct orders.


Advanced Technology

RSD 10mm Super Magnet Bone Conduction: 
Rhapsodio's strongest bone conduction magnetic driver ever developed. The RSD 10mm SMBC creates strong, impactful shockwaves directly to the whole Darker’s resin shell, transmitting sound directly to the bone in listeners’ ear conchas and the overall head. RSD SMBC provides a huge, immersive holographic and physical staging.

Sonion 38AM Vented Dual BA Woofers:
Sonion’s flagship venteddual BA woofers are responsible for driving the high-resolution bass without sacrificing organic timbre. Combined with the bone conduction and full-range 4x RSD BA drivers, the overall bass resolution and texture become extremely high.

RSD Full-range 4x BA Drivers: 
Darker optimizes 4 Rhapsodio’s proprietary and in-house designed BA drivers to cover the full range frequency spectrum. These BA drivers gave Darker a unique mix of resolution and timbre that’s different from the typical DD-based Rhapsodio products.

RSD Carbon Square Magnetostatic Dynamic Driver:

To complete the whole retro-inspired sound signature, Rhapsodio implemented the newly created Square Magnetostatic Dynamic Driver with Carbon Diaphragm to specifically cover the high and ultra high frequencies. The Carbon SQMST provides an organic, yet resolving treble character while keeping the dark sound signature. DarDarker is the first Rhapsodio IEM that uses the SQMST technology.
